Plus: Meta Ads is getting an AI upgrade

Hey there! You might have noticed that we’ve been talking about AI…a lot. Spoiler alert: It’s not just a phase. Our goal with Raisin Bread is to empower marketers with all the news you need to improve your skills by leveraging the latest tech. As artificial intelligence begins to permeate our industry, we’re keeping you in the loop—so you can stay on top of your game.

Meta Ads Gets Generative AI Features

Last week, Meta announced that it’s rolling out its first generative AI features for ad creatives in Meta’s Ads Manager platform. This week, Snapchat launched an immersive Halloween content series called "Phantom House," which follows content creators as they attempt to escape a haunted house. Viewers can engage with the series using AR lenses and Snapchat’s Dreams selfies (AI-generated selfies in fantastical settings)—and now, Snapchat is looking for brands to run ads and create their own AR experiences. Disney+ and Maybelline are among the first to hop on the bandwagon (haunted hayride?). Who’s next?

Global media buyer Dentsu just published its annual media trend report—which found that 63% of marketers have already started engaging with AI in their companies. Calling it “the most disruptive technology breakthrough of the last decade,” Dentsu found that marketers are using generative AI in search, content, copywriting, image development, and optimizing ads at scale.

The group is officially the first agency in its category to secure three patents around using ML to manage and activate experiences. Momentum clients Coca-Cola and Walmart were among the first to test the use of ML in experiential campaigns earlier this summer.
