Pinterest Launches Two Ads Tools
Pinterest is launching two ads tools for wide use, Premiere Spotlight and Travel Catalogs. Premiere Spotlight is a “premium video solution” that allows brands to use widescreen video in “priority placements” to increase reach—and these videos received an average 51% Media Ratings Council (MRC) video-view rate during earlier tests. Meanwhile, Travel Catalogs help travel brands “boost their bookings among a travel-ready audience,” opting for a more segmented experience.
TikTok and Pinterest at Cannes
TikTok is going back to Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity (its fourth time) with a pop-up demonstration of TikTok’s new tools. But it isn’t the only digital brand there leaning into lifestyle content—Pinterest’s Manifestival pop-up on the beach featured stations to “station to get a tattoo, ear piercing or tooth gems.”
HOKA Taps Top Talent for New Campaign
Running brand HOKA is launching a global campaign called MURMURATION, and it’s going all out with “owned media, out-of-home, CTV, digital, and paid social running on Meta, Snapchat, and TikTok.” Elite athletes like Jan Frodeno and Adelle Tracy feature in the 60-second campaign film where the athletes all engage in murmuration, or the intricate swooping pattern birds perform in large groups.
