On 9/11 this year, DraftKings ran a “Never Forget” promotion….that called for three teams (Yankees, Mets and Jets) to win their games. A social media backlash caused DraftKings to take it down and apologize.
TikTok’s Shoppable Content Goes Live
TikTok Shop went live in the U.S. yesterday, providing users with shoppable videos and LIVE streams directly to For You feeds. And now, brands, merchants, and creators have tools to sell directly through this in-app shoppable content.
Pinterest’s New Algorithms
Pinterest announced its new algorithms will champion diverse body representation. Head of Pinterest’s inclusive product team Annie Ta told WIRED, “‘If you are exposed to more people from more backgrounds, we hopefully build a more tolerant and accepting world. Advertisers want to see their content alongside really positive content, right?’”
