How brands are getting festive on Snapchat
Plus: The NFL's new AI-powered game
Hey there! Happy Thanksgiving Eve! While you’ve been busy preparing (either the meal or some non-inflammatory family-friendly discussion topics), we’ve been busy scouring the interweb for this week’s hottest news in marketing AI. So when you run out of conversation starters sure to keep everyone happy, we’ve got you covered with the latest headlines to spread marketing innovation joy at your Thanksgiving table :)
Brands Are Getting Festive with Snapchat AR
Source: Snapchat
We’ve been keeping tabs on Snapchat AR a lot lately—and for good reason. Now, some of the biggest brands are taking advantage of Snapchat’s incredible Lens features to expand their omnichannel presence:
Carhartt released three Snapchat AR lenses. One offers a gamified experience, placing a white beard and a Carhartt beanie on the user’s head to look like Santa and challenging them to deliver “presents” in a limited amount of time. The other lenses allow users to virtually browse Carhartt’s products inside a recreation of its store and ecommerce website.
Purina is also diving into the fun with their “Beggin’ Holiday Spirit Lens,” which dresses users up like its mascot when using the selfie lens and allows to users step into its virtual store using their rear-facing camera.
Both examples straddle playfulness and practicality, turning a dress-up experience into a conversion play with shopping functionality.
The NFL Is Teaming Up with Amazon on AI

Even with the world’s biggest pop star as its new unofficial marketing ambassador (thanks, Taylor and Travis), the NFL knows: AI marketing is an instant touchdown. That’s why the NFL partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to launch a new AI-powered game:
“Playbook Pass Rush” is an online game that allows players to create plays based on real-time NFL data using a predictive functionality called pressure probability.
The interactive game is intended to educate Gen Z fans on how statistics are used in real-time NFL games—while sparking brand awareness.
SurveyMonkey Announces AI-Generated Surveys
SurveyMonkey is used by marketers all over the world to collect online forms and marketing data. Now, it’s launching a new survey creation feature powered by AI:
This new OpenAI-powered feature, called Build with AI, allows users to create tailored surveys and forms in as little as 30 seconds—simply by typing a description of the desired survey or the feedback goal. Users can then edit the generated survey as needed.
Regardless of the survey’s topic, Build with AI ensures easy-to-understand survey questions based on decades of surveyed data and best practices.

Ally Financial’s Chat Solution Delivers 34% Time Savings on Marketing
Ally Financial, a digital bank, is leaning into AI to save its marketing team thousands of hours annually:
The company has focused on building its own in-house AI chatbot called Ally.ai. Ally.ai was built to draft copy, video scripts, blog content, and social posts, while improving SEO, quality control and data analysis.
Since launching Ally.ai in June, Ally Financial now reports an average of 34% time savings on marketing tasks, compared to when they were done without AI.
